Turner Plays Down Brown Injury Concern

Posted on: Thu 12 Aug 2010

Chris Turner has played down fans fears surrounding a new injury scare for Pools star James Brown.

After opening the scoring in the Carling Cup triumph over Sheffield United, the attacker hobbled off with what seemed another knee problem.

But in his post-match press conference Chris Turner allayed any worries by saying that Brown's substitution was made more out of precaution.

"He's not injured," he told Pools Player.

"James has had several horrific injuries over the last couple of years and it's all about confidence with him.

"He feels twinges in his knee every now and then and we have to just monitor him to decide whether he plays on Saturday or whether we rest him so he can play the following week."
