Boyd Handed Start For Pools Against Blades

Adam Boyd is in the starting line-up for Pools in this evening's Carling Cup tie against Sheffield United at Victoria Park (7.45pm kick-off).

Gary Liddle is back in the centre of defence while Steve Haslam is also in from the start and will operate at right-back in the absence of Neil Austin who is sidelined with an ankle injury.

Pools: Flinders, Haslam, Liddle, Collins, Horwood, Sweeney, Gamble, Murray, Monkhouse, Brown, Boyd.
Subs: Rafferty, Hartley, Larkin, Fredriksen, McSweeney, Behan, Bjornsson.
