Staff Triumph In Ritchie's Dutch Quiz

Posted on: Tue 13 Jul 2010

It was quiz night in Holland on Monday as Ritchie Humphreys came up with twenty questions for some post-dinner entertainment at the KNVB.

The players were split in to five mini teams - Poolies, Yorkshire Boys, The Irish, North Easterners and Rest of the World.

A Staff team also took part in the quiz, which Ritchie had penned during the afternoon and comprised of five questions each on TV and Film, Sport, Music and General Knowledge.

Competition was high as nobody wanted to let another team get the better of them but there were some testing questions to sort the men from the boys.

In the end though, the Staff team came out on top with new Coach Mick Wadsworth proving particularly useful with his knowledge on Tom Hanks films and Venezuelan geography.

A winning score of 13 points (out of a possible 23) was posted by the Staff, while the Irish came in second on 11 and the Yorkshire team floundering on 9.
