Purvis Agrees Contract With Pools

Posted on: Thu 27 May 2010

Dylan Purvis has become the second of the former scholars to put pen to paper on his first professional contract with the Club.

After Purvis was released by Sunderland in 2008, Pools were quick to snap him up, offering him a two-year scholarship with the Youth Team.

And the decision has more than benefitted both parties as the defender has progressed well.

A right back, who is also comfortable in the left back role, Purvis found himself involved in the First Team squad for the trip to Southend United in December of last year.

His inclusion in the squad highlighted just how highly he is rated within the Club by coaches at all levels.

The 18-year-old was a regular with the Reserves last season, fitting in comfortably alongside members of the First Team squad.

A great competitor with a very positive approach to the game, Pools are delighted to welcome him to the First Team squad.
