A is for Alternative Career
"I'd probably be a student - a lot of my friends went to Uni so I would probably have done that. To be honest though, I have always wanted to be a footballer so I've been lucky really."
N is for New Contract
"I was pleased with that. I was happy to be offered a new deal at the end of last season. I spoke with Chris and Colin and from the moment I was offered the deal, I was happy to sign it. It was obviously security for me and my family and I have loved my time here, I really enjoy it."
D is for Debut goal for Rotherham v Pools
"I was seventeen and I came on with about ten minutes left and scored with virtually my first touch of the game. That was within three minutes of me coming on the pitch. I think Rotherham won 3-1 and I scored the third - I will always remember that goal. It's weird how it works out that my first ever goal was against Hartlepool and I've ended up playing here now."
Y is for Your Best Mate In Football
"I've got a few really from my time at Rotherham United. Chris Sedgwick who is at Preston, Mike Pollitt at Wigan and Guy Branston at Burton. I've known them for ten or fifteen years now and we still keep in touch regularly."
M is for Middle Name
"It's William and I've grown to like it. When I was younger, I always used to sign my full name as Andrew Monkhouse and my mum would shout at me but now I think it is quiet cool. I think it's come back round as a popular name."
O is for On The Road
"I do nothing really when we're travelling away. I just sit there and try to listen to other conversations. If I had my ipod in, I would miss out on the conversations - I like to just listen to everyone chatting and try to get involved in one way or another."
N is for New Arrivals at The Vic
"We had twelve new signings last season and I think everyone has settled in really well. It can be hard when you go to a new club and you don't know anyone but when I first came here, the lads all went out of their way to welcome me here and I think it's been the same with the new lads. They were all made to feel comfortable straight away."
K is for Key Career Moments
"Recently, obviously getting promoted from League Two to League One was a big thing. When I first came in to the Club on loan, it was just for the month initially but then obviously I signed and we went on that great run and I think for me, personally it was 35 games unbeaten that season with both clubs. The promotion definitely stands out as one of my best moments."
H is for Hobbies
"I go home, I sit on the sofa and I go to sleep and that's about it most days. A few of us who travel in for training, it is quite late when we get home so I like to have a little sleep before the missus comes in and makes me do things around the house. I don't play any other sports or anything else, I do watch some sport but I have to try and keep up with the football first."
O is for Old Trafford
"My dad had was a season ticket holder for years and years and I used to do with him when I was younger, My dad was brought up in Cheshire and I don't think I could have supported anyone else. We used to go a lot and to away games and Wembley. We've not been for a while obviously because I'm playing and my family come to watch my games."
U is for Unique Talent
"I have always wanted to learn to play an instrument but I have never really got round to it. I think I'd quote fancy the guitar and it is something I will look at at some point."
S is for Swindon Goal
"It was good - I like going back to Swindon. The last three times I've played there, we've won and I have managed to score twice. I wish we could play them every week! I like scoring goals at any time but when you go back to your old club, it is always more special."
E is for Eye For Fashion
"Michael Mackay has definitely got the worst dress sense in the squad. There's a new one cropping up too in Cooky (Mark Cook). He wears sleeveless shellsuit tops which is just crazy! I don't know if it's a Newcastle thing because James Brown and Jonny Rowell wear some rascal things too!"
