Posted on: Sat 01 May 2010

Neil Austin is celebrating today after scooping a double in the end of the season Player of the Year awards.

The full-back, signed from Darlington last summer, has been named Supporters' Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year for the 2009/2010 campaign.

Austin has enjoyed an impeccable season with his tough-tackling and no-nonsense style quickly making him a favourite with the Victoria Park faithful.

And the awards show that his performances have not only been recognised on the terraces but in the dressing room too where he was a runaway winner.
