Onus Is On Players To Perform - CT

Posted on: Tue 23 Feb 2010

Chris Turner has revealed his excitement as Pools prepare for their League One clash with Huddersfield Town at Victoria Park on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

After two weeks without a fixture since the dramatic 2-2 draw with Leeds, Pools are now raring to go against the Terriers and CT can't wait for the whistle.

"It's going to be a great game; I'm really looking forward to it," Turner told Pools Player.

"After the Leeds game there was a real feel good factor; that's what we want to get back to and I think we're slowly getting there.

"It will be a good atmosphere on Saturday; Huddersfield will bring a good number of supporters too but hopefully we can send our fans home with smiles on their faces again."

Turner now has a near fully-fit squad at his disposal with Colin Larkin (hamstring) and James Brown (knee) both playing a part in the Reserves win over Scunthorpe in midweek.

But he revealed that he's had the selection for the Huddersfield fixture in his head since shortly after the final whistle in the last game.

"I have known which team I was going to select for this game since just after the Leeds game," he explained.

"Certain individuals did very well and we need that to continue in our remaining games, so the onus is on them."
