Pools Reserves are back in action this afternoon as they make the short trip to Billingham Synthonia's ground to take on Middlesbrough (2pm kick-off).

Colin West will take a strong squad into the game with Martin Scott's Middlesbrough side, with Ben Clark, Steve Haslam and Leon McSweeney all included.

Boro are expected to name a young side for the game this afternoon, due to their First Team match with Barnsley this evening.

But West is hoping his side show the same spirit that saw them overturn a strong Leeds outfit in their last match,

"We had a game two weeks ago against Leeds United and that was a fine performance where everyone stuck to their tasks.

"The lads all worked really hard in that game and we'll be looking for much of the same again today.

"We know that it will be a tough game because Martin Scott will be looking to put one over on us after defeat earlier in the season."

The game, which kicks off at 2pm, will be played at Billingham Synthonia's ground, Belasis Avenue, Billingham, TS23 1LH.
