Chris Turner was delighted with the character his side showed to twice come from behind to clinch a point against Leeds United at Victoria Park this afternoon.

Luciano Becchio twice had Simon Grayson's men in the driving seat but Adam Boyd's sweet strike and in injury time header from Antony Sweeney ensured a dramatic and well-earned point for Pools.

"I thought we thoroughly deserved the points and could even have had three," Turner told Pools Player.

"I am delighted for the players because they have been playing like that in the last few games and not had the rewards so it's nice to get something against one of the top teams.

"It was a really good footballing display, particularly in the second half and they picked themselves up magnificently after going behind twice.

"The fans deserved that equaliser at the end because they were brilliant and stayed with the team.

"We've shown we are improving and now we have to continue that."
