Brown Closing In On Return To Training

Posted on: Thu 04 Feb 2010

Chris Turner has revealed that James Brown has been given the green light to return to full training at the start of next week.

The 23-year-old star has been out of action since late November when a tear was discovered in the lateral cartilage of his right knee.

And after undergoing a successful operation on 2nd December, Brown is close to completing his rehabilitation work under the watchful eyes of the Club's physio team.

"James is going to be back in training next week but he's still a little way from playing," Turner explained.

"He won't be rushed back in to the team too early and risk doing any more damage because we need to take care of him.

"At the end of the day, James' career is much more important in the big picture and we need to ensure he comes back at the right time.

"It's great news for us that he's getting there because he's a very important player for us and I think we have missed him at times."

You can read an exclusive interview with James Brown in this Saturday's Official Matchday Programme 'Never Say Die'.
