Positive Attitude Required Says Determined Turner
Chris Turner has encouraged his players to offer a positive response to their weekend defeat by MK Dons when they make the trip to face Charlton Athletic tonight (7.45pm kick-off).
Turner described the 5-0 loss on Saturday as "shocking" but insisted that everyone at the Club had to try and put that out of their minds as they prepared for their first-ever league visit to The Valley.
The Pools squad did a light session at Crystal Palace's training ground earlier this morning and CT is now expectant of a solid display against The Addicks.
"I told the players last week that I would be putting fresh legs in during various games," he told Pools Player.
"But obviously after the defeat on Saturday I have to think a little bit deeper about what changes to make tonight.
"It's not nice when you're on the end of a result like that and I've not stopped thinking about it since Saturday - but now it has to go to the back of mind as we concentrate on Charlton.
"We've got to get back to being positive and I'm sure the players that go out there will be mindful of what happened and put in a hard-working performance.
"We'll be positive and bright and try and get the result here at Charlton which will be tough but we know we're capable of doing it," he added.
