Joe's Warm Welcome From Young Poolies

Posted on: Fri 08 Jan 2010

Joe Gamble was given a warm welcome to Hartlepool United by some local school children at Victoria Park on Tuesday afternoon.

The new signing was at The Vic to put the finishing touches on his move from Cork City and delighted pupils from Kingsley Primary School when he made a surprise visit to their lesson in the Club's Study Support Centre.

Gamble posed for photographs with the youngsters and answered a few of their questions after signing his contract to become a Pools player.

"It was a great welcome and the children looked pleased to see me which was nice," Gamble commented.

"I know the players do lots of work in the local community in Hartlepool and I'm looking forward to meeting more of the fans during my time with the Club."

Gamble, who has been handed squad number 30, could be in line to make his debut in this weekend's League One trip to Charlton Athletic.
