Minute's Silence To Be Held At The Vic

Posted on: Sat 07 Nov 2009

There will be a minute's silence ahead of kick off in today's FA Cup First Round game with Kettering Town at The Vic.

The silence will be held as part of the Club's backing for this year's Poppy Appeal.

Pools are asking everyone to be in place in the stands in plenty of time to acknowledge the minute's silence.

This year, the Club have again shown their backing for the British Legion and Help for Heroes and the Pools players in today's game will be wearing a special one-off Poppy Shirt which will later be auctioned for the two charities.

There is also chance for fans to purchase a Matchday Programme at the game for just £1 with all proceeds going to charity.

Finally, there will be collection buckets available at all of the catering outlets in the ground for supporters to donate their spare change to the Poppy Appeal.
