We're Happy To Be At Home - Turner

Posted on: Sun 25 Oct 2009

Chris Turner has admitted he is happy with the draw for the First Round of the FA Cup - but does not expect an easy passage to Round Two.

Pools have been paired with either Kettering Town or Redditch United at Victoria Park and the Director of Sport revealed it is a bonus to be on home turf.

"You have always got to be happy with a home draw," Turner admitted.

"Obviously the fans here know all about Mark Cooper due to his playing days and coming here with Tamworth successfully a few years ago.

"With Kettering being in the Blue Square Premier you would expect them to come through the tie but whoever we play it will be a tough encounter.

"It's a decent draw for us and we'll look forward to it when it comes around."
