Clark Makes Return To Training Ground

Posted on: Thu 15 Oct 2009

Ben Clark has returned to full training this morning as he steps up his attempts to kick-start what has proved to be a luckless season so far.

The defender was forced to have a hernia operation at the start of the campaign after being involved in just one pre season friendly.

And then he was injured again during his attempted comeback when he over-stretched during a half time warm-up at Oldham, which resulted in him requiring further surgery.

Now though, the 26-year-old is back on the training ground and is set to be handed some time on the pitch when the Reserves take on Huddersfield Town on Wednesday.

"It's great to have Ben back involved with us," Chris Turner told Pools Player.

"We haven't seen him out with us since the Holland trip and has had no competitive football really this year.

"Sam Collins and Gary Liddle have done well at the back so far but it's great to have Ben coming back to battle for a place alongside Julian Cherel," he adeded.
