Ritchie Humphreys will return to competitive action tonight when he features for the Reserves in their trip to Bradford City (7pm kick-off).
The Club Captain has been on the sidelines since injuring his Achilles during the pre season fixture with SC Cambuur in Holland.
But now he's ready to return to the fold after getting a week of full training under his belt with Chris Turner's squad.
Also set to feature is French trialist Julian Cherel who impressed in his last outing when the Reserves defeated Grimsby Town 5-0 at Billingham Town.
"Ritchie's a player that the other lads look up to because of his experience and the service he's given to the Club," Colin West told us.
"Nobody likes to be injured obviously but Ritchie in particular is not used to it so it's great to have him back.
"I think in previous seasons he's been playing in a role that perhaps he doesn't enjoy as much but has been doing it for the benefit of the team.
"Hopefully now we can get him back involved and get him some minutes under his belt, predominantly further up the field."
Bradford are yet to pick up a league point at Reserve Team level this term having suffered defeats to Lincoln City and Newcastle United.
However, David Weatherall's men did enjoy a creditable 3-2 win over Middlesbrough in the Pontins League Cup tie and will be hoping to return
"I'm not really going to concentrating too much on the opposition - I'm just focussed on the performance I want to see from our boys.
"The pitch will be in good condition I'm sure so I want us to go there and keep to the same standards we showed last week against Grimsby."
We'll have a full report on the Official Website later tonight plus exclusive video highlights on Pools Player.
