David Foley has completed a one-month loan deal to Blue Square Conference Premier side Barrow.

The striker has featured just once for Pools so far this season, coming on as a late substitute in Tuesday night's game with Bristol Rovers.

Michael Mackay is already out on loan at Gateshead, and Chris Turner was keen for Foley to secure a move too and get some much-needed games under his belt.

The arrivals of Adam Boyd, Denis Behan and Colin Larkin as well as the return to fitness of James Brown has pushed Foley down the pecking order at Pools and the 22-year-old is keen to make a success of his time at Barrow.

""Basically, I want to get out for a month and get some game time," Foley commented.

"I'm not playing in the First Team at Hartlepool right now so I need to get out there and play, hopefully do well and come back to The Vic and fight for my place."

Foley will link-up with his new team mates in time for their weekend game at Eastbourne Borough.
