Pools Swoop To Sign Teenage Forward

Pools have swooped to sign teenage striker Billy Greulich on a professional deal after he impressed during a trial spell with the Club.

The 18-year-old Brandon forward featured in the pre season games at York, Gateshead, Garforth and Horden, scoring two goals along the way.

A powerful front man who is strong in the air and has an eye for goal, Greulich has previously been on the books of Watford and Luton Town as well as Sunderland and Middlesbrough's Academies.

After his impressive performances in the warm-up games, Chris Turner has moved quickly to snap up the youngster who will now challenge for a place in the First Team squad.

Greulich has been handed number 24 but is not eligible to be in contention for tonight's game against Bristol Rovers.
