Turner Includes Trialist For Owls Game

Chris Turner has handed first Victoria Park starts to Scott Flinders, Neil Austin, Peter Hartley and Leon McSweeney in tonight's pre season friendly against Sheffield Wednesday (7.30pm kick-off).

Adam Boyd also makes his first appearance at The Vic since 2006, while Sam Collins is in action for the first time during pre season so far.

Turner has also found room in his starting line-up for former Sunderland left-back Dan Smith against the Owls after he joined the Club on trial.

Ritchie Humphreys is ruled out with an Achilles problem while Ben Clark is also missing with a groin injury.

There is no place in the Wednesday line-up for former Pools star Tommy Miller who misses out on a return to The Vic due to a thigh injury.

Pools: Flinders, Austin, Collins, Hartley, Smith, McSweeney, Sweeney, Liddle, Monkhouse, Boyd, Mackay.
Subs: Behan, Fredriksen, Jones, Foley, Power, Rowell, Cook, Tymon.

Sheffield Wednesday: Grant, Spurr, Hinds, Tudgay, Jeffers, Potter, Wood, O'Connor, Gray, Simek, France.
