Pools' new signing Jon-Andre Fredriksen has today revealed that it has always been his dream to play in England.

The Norwegian winger flew in to Holland on Monday night to link-up with his new team mates after earlier completing a move to Victoria Park from Sarpsborg.

Despite sporting several staples underneath his right eye to a cut sustained during his final game in Norway on Sunday, the 27-year-old is expected to make his debut for Pools in Wednesday night's game against Cambuur.

And Fredriksen revealed he can't wait to make his first appearance for the Club and begin challenging for a regular place in the side for the new season.

"I have played fifteen matches already in Norway this season so I think I am fit and ready to play," he told Pools World.

"I'm very happy to be here. When I was a kid it was always my dream to play in England so I'm looking forward to playing for Hartlepool.

"Now is the time for me to settle in, get to know the players and the coaching staff, get some good training, do my best on Wednesday and then take one day at a time.

"Typically, in my last match for Sarpsborg I got an elbow in the face - it's not so painful but unfortunately it's very blue," he laughed.
