Pools have today completed the signing of midfielder Jon-Andre Fredriksen from Norwegian side Sarpsborg.

The 27-year-old caught the eye of Chris Turner during one of the Director of Sport's visits to Norway and has now become the sixth new arrival at The Vic this summer.

Turner is delighted to have secured the signature of the versatile Fredriksen, who will now fly out to Holland to link-up with his new team mates.

"Jon-Andre is a very adaptable player who can operate in several positions," Turner explained.

"He can play in the centre of midfield or on the left, or even up front where he has played for his Norwegian club in the past.

"I'm bringing him to the Club predominantly as competition for the wide left area and I think he can offer us a good option.

"He will start the game on Wednesday against SC Cambuur so he can quickly get used to the way we play and fit in with the lads.

"He's obviously been playing regularly for a couple of months already so his fitness will be good and I know having seen him play that his is a high-energy game."
