Junior Tournament Proves Big Success

Posted on: Thu 02 Jul 2009

Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June saw Hartlepool United stage its third Official 7-aside Junior football tournament at Manor College.

The weekend again proved to be a huge success in the community as around 100 junior teams from ages 8 to 14, including girls teams, took part and many families and friends took the time to support their teams.

H'Angus made a surprise visit during the weekend and many children enjoyed photographs and autographs from the legendary monkey.

Adam Boyd was on hand to watch the young hopefuls in their semi-finals and final matches.

Adam prolonged his stay to present the winners and runners up with their medals and have photographs taken with the children.

All of the winning players from the weekend will attend a Pools fixture as part of the special incentive to enter a team this year.
