Pools have been handed a tough opening day fixture for the 2009/2010 campaign when they'll travel to promotion hopefuls MK Dons on Saturday 8^th August.

And Chris Turner's men will then host League One new boys Charlton Athletic at The Vic the following weekend.

Norwich City come to The Vic on Saturday 29^th August, while Southampton will make the mammoth trek to the north east for a midweek game on Tuesday 24^th November.

Boxing Day will see Pools fans make the short trip to Leeds United, while the return game at Charlton will be played on Saturday 9^th January 2010.

Carrow Road will be the destination on Saturday 30^th January, with the journey to Southampton in the diary for Saturday 13^th February.

The final home game of the season will see Exeter City visit The Vic, while Pools' campaign will be rounded off by a trip to Brentford.
