Chris Turner this morning spoke to hartlepoolunited.co.uk to give his reaction to the Carling Cup First Round draw.

Pools will travel to take on Championship outfit Coventry City - giving Turner's men a tough test early in the new campaign,

"We'd have preferred to have been at home obviously but it's a draw we can look forward to.

"It will be tough for us clearly to go away to a Championship club and it will be a test that we'll be relishing.

"It's quite interesting that we've been negotiating with Coventry over the summer to try and bring Dimi Konstantopoulos to the Club - now there seems a chance he may play against us, you never know!

"I've never been to Coventry's new stadium so it will be a first for me and a lot of the players and the fans as well so we'll enjoy that.

"Coventry have a lot of history behind them and are a big club but we'll go there and give them a difficult game."
