Key Dates For The 2009/2010 Season

As we know it's always useful to plan ahead, we can now confirm a provisional list of key dates during the 2009/2010 campaign.

The points of note are:

- The fixtures are released on Wednesday 17th June at 10am.

- The Carling Cup draw will be released on Tuesday 16th June at 10am.

- The season begins on 8th August and will conclude on 1st May.

Advertisement

- There will be no game on New Year's Day or Eve; the FA Cup Third Round will take place on Saturday 2nd January.

- The international weekends during which fixtures may be altered fall on Saturday 5th September, Saturday 10th October and Saturday 14th November.

- There will be two games over the Easter weekend - on Saturday 3rd and Monday 5th April, but only one over the August bank holiday weekend on Saturday 29th August.

- The League One Play-Off Final takes place on Saturday 29th May. The League Two Final takes place the following day but the Championship Final is the weekend previous due to World Cup 2010.
