Liddle joined Pools from Middlesbrough in August 2006 and made an immediate impact in a variety of positions, going on to be named joint Player of the Year during the 2006/2007 promotion season.

The 22-year-old showed his versatility last term by operating both in the centre of midfield and at right-back during Pools' successful fight against relegation.

So far the Middlesbrough-born youngster has made 146 appearances for the Club and scored eight goals.
