Director of Sport Chris Turner has today revealed that Matty Robson has turned down the contract offer made to him by Pools.

Robson came through the Club's Centre of Excellence and has been involved with the First Team squad since making his debut in October 2002.

"The Club made Matty Robson a deal which we think is a fair deal and he has turned it down," Turner told hartlepoolunited.co.uk.

"He feels he deserves something else so Matty has decided he wants to leave Hartlepool and we wish him all the best.

"Everybody had his valuation at the Club - I gave Matty his debut seven years ago and he has been in and out of the team all through the season with different managers.

"So maybe this is the right time for him to move on to pastures new."

Meanwhile Turner revealed that the Club have yet to receive responses from Michael Nelson and Gary Liddle over their contract offers.
