Enthusiastic and excited - just two words to describe Adam Boyd after the striker had agreed terms to re-join Pools for next season.
Boyd is clearly ready for a new challenge with Pools and is raring to get his second spell under way,
"I'm really looking forward to it - I wish we could start the season tomorrow to be honest.
"I was a little bit surprised but delighted when I first heard Hartlepool were interested in bringing me back.
"And I'm just glad things moved on as quick as they have really.
"It's all done and dusted now and I'm just concentrating on coming back to Hartlepool."
There was much talk about Boyd returning to Pools back in the January transfer window - something which didn't bypass the striker,
"I was getting regular updates from my Dad about it - i think he was buying both editions of the Mail.
"It's a good move for me - I have my own family as well and I'm looking forward to bringing them back to Hartlepool - I can't wait."

When asked about his targets for next season, the former Luton Town man admitted he'd love to make the same impact on the team as he did during his first spell at the Club,
"I'd like to do the same again. As a striker, I'm not going to put too much pressure on myself but I will be looking to score goals and help the team push on.
"I'm a little bit more steady than I was in general football terms.
"I'm a couple of years wiser - I think the more gamesyou play, you realise more what the teams needs.
"I remember seeing Chris on the sidelines in the past going mad as I flicked 15 balls on to no-one but I'm sure he won't be expecting that now and I don't plan on doing that either.
"I am hoping it is going to be a lot easier than moving to a new Club, I'm just coming home really.
"I'm already familiar with the town and I have family and friends there to help me settle."
And while Boyd's sure he will settle back into life at Pools smoothly, he's also expecting life on the pitch to be just as positive,
"I don't want to put too much pressure on the squad from the start of the season but having spoken to people at the Club, I'm quite confident we can achieve what we want to.
"I'm on 95 career goals now and hopefully my 100th will come at The Vic - it would be nice for that milestone to happen there for me.
"Then I'll be working on getting 100 goals for Hartlepool - I'm just ready to go now."
