Joel Porter has played his last game in Pools colours after being ruled out of the weekend trip to Bristol Rovers through injury.

The striker picked up a hamstring strain in the closing stages ofthe 1-0 defeat to Leeds United and has not been able to shake it off in time to come in to contention for Saturday.

However, Michael Nelson is winning his battle to be fit to face Bristol Rovers as Pools look to pick up at least a point to secure their status in League One on the final day.

The big defender had seven stitches in a cut above his eye but is expected to make himself available for the big game at the Memorial Stadium.
