Let's Make It Third Time Lucky - Boss
After putting in gutsy displays at Elland Road twice over the last fifteen months but being sent away with nothing, Danny Wilson is hoping for a change of luck against Leeds United this weekend.
Pools were beaten 2-0 in the league there last term despite dominating huge portions of the game, while they were knocked out of the Carling Cup there to a last-minute goal earlier this season after twice taking the lead.
"Let's hope it can prove third time lucky," he told Pools World.
"The performances there have been excellent in the past but we have to start turning that in to some kind of points and I don't see why we can't do that at the weekend.
"We're going in to the game full of confidence and so will they, but there may be slight pressure on them being at home because they should be whooping teams like us in the eyes of the fans - but it doesn't always work that way as we well know.
"We are well capable of causing them problems and if we take the chances then we create then I think they might find it quite difficult.
"They have some quality players there though, and we'll have to keep them quiet as well but the games we've had with them have been very tight and I'd think it will be the same on Saturday."
