Danny Wilson has admitted that trips to Millwall are never the easiest, but insists his side have what it takes to register a second consecutive away victory.

Three points at Peterborough last Saturday pushed Pools up to seventh in the League One table and the boss is hopeful his team can repeat the 1-0 win achieved on their last visit to The New Den.

"We've got to go down there and work as hard as we did there last season," Danny told Pools World.

"We've enjoyed a good start to the season and it would be nice if we could carry it on at Millwall but it'll be a big test again because it's never the easiest place to go.

"They have some good new players in there and it takes time to gel, but when they do I expect them to be up there challenging.

"I think they will be very strong under Kenny Jackett this year and with their fans backing down there it will be tough but there has been nothing to worry us so far this season.

"We have played a lot of the fancied teams and we've done ourselves justice so going down to Millwall holds no fear for us."

Ritchie Jones has emerged as a new injury concern for the Pools boss after missing Tuesday's clash with Leicester due a to a groin injury.

And Danny has revealed that if he's not 100% by kick-off time on Saturday then there will be no risks taken with the 21-year-old midfielder.

"He's a doubt at the moment and if he's 50-50 he won't be risked," he explained.

"We don't carry enough players to take risks so we'll certainly not do that with Ritchie."
