Baggies Boss Sounds Warning To Squad
West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Mowbray has warned his side not to show any complacency as they head to Victoria Park in Round Two of the Carling Cup.
Mowbray says he does not see Albion's route in to the next round as a formality and insists his squad must show the right attitude against Pools.
"It is not easy to go to Hartlepool and get a win," the former Middlesbrough skipper admitted.
"Hartlepool are a decent team, work extremely hard and have got some good individuals.
"No-one should be thinking we are going to go there and score a bag full of goals - it might be the case but we are anticipating a tough game."
The Baggies chief has revealed that he will be making changes to his starting eleven for the cup tie at The Vic, but expects the players that come in to do themselves justice.
"There will be a few changes but there won't be mass changes," he explained.
"It will still be a team of Premier League players who are striving to get on the pitch in league matches.
"Everyone if fighting for their place and someone who gets a place in the Carling Cup might do exceptionally well and stay in the team for Saturday.
"It will be a strong side which I hope can win," he added.
