Danny Wilson was tonight facing up to the prospect of being without his midfield general after Willie Boland hobbled off in the first of the defeat to Stockport County.

Boland suffered medial ligament damage in his right knee following a block tackle five minutes before the interval.

"Well with any injury of that nature we won't know the extent until tomorrow or even Monday after the swelling has gone down," Wilson explained.

"The initial feeling is though, that he is going to face quite a few weeks out which is a big blow for us.

"He'll be a big miss in the midfield because he's started the season really well and played well again today until the tackle that injured his knee."
