Pools Youth Team will continue their preparations for the new season with two testing friendlies in the next week.

On Friday they will host Tyne Met College at the Maiden Castle training base (1pm kick-off) as Barron assesses the fitness of his squad ahead of the fresh campaign.

Then on Wednesday of next week the youngsters will travel to face Newcastle United at the Magpies Academy, with kick-off at 11am.

The new Youth Alliance League season begins on Saturday 30^th August when Pools will make a trip to Scunthorpe United (12noon kick-off).
