Pools travel to Consett tonight for the next test of their pre season campaign.

Ian Butterworth will take his squad into the game at Belle Vue Park, with kick off at 7pm.

Mark Cook will make his debut for Pools in goal, while fellow new signing Alan Power also starts.

Joe Tait makes his first start alongside Michael Nelson in the centre of defence.

Jonny Rowell and Matty Tymon also start, while triallist Ross Hamilton is named in the starting eleven.

There are four Youth Team players named on the bench, including keeper Nick Thomas.

The aim of the game, according to Butterworth is to help the players progress with their fitness,

"We're looking to get more minutes under the belts of some of the lads who have not had that many so far.

"We need to make sure all of the players are ready for the start of the season against Colchester.

"And this game at Consett tonight gives us another opportunity to do that."

Tickets will be on sale at the turnstiles and are priced at £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.
