Pools Eleven For Game At Falkirk

Posted on: Thu 17 Jul 2008

Pools will play their second game of their pre season tour of Scotland this afternoon when they travel to face Falkirk.

Danny Wilson has once again made changes to his starting eleven - with further changes again expected in the second half.

Triallist Derek Soutar will start in goal, with Antony Sweeney at right back and Ritchie Humphreys at left back.

Joel Porter and Richard Barker start up front, with Gary Liddle and Willie Boland forming the central midfield pairing.

And Manager Wilson is expecting another tough game for his players,

"Falkirk will be a tough side to play," he told hartlepoolunited.co.uk.

"They have done very well and it will be a good test for us, just like the other night was.

"It is not their first game of pre season and in some senses we are still catching up but I was pleased with things I saw on Tuesday evening."

The Pools boss is delighted with the way the whole Scotland trip has gone as the players work their way back to full fitness,

"It has been an excellent trip for the whole squad.

"We have had excellent facilities and been looked after extremely well.

"The surfaces we have trained on and played on have been first class and that has allowed us to focus on the work that needs doing without any distractions."

Pools: Soutar, Sweeney, Nelson, Clark, Humphreys, Foley, Liddle, Boland, Monkhouse, Porter, Barker
