David Foley has this morning put pen to paper on a new contract to secure his immediate future at Victoria Park.

The striker was out of contract at the end of last term but has now agreed a fresh deal and will be looking to take his Pools career to the next level in the coming campaign.

Foley - who turns 21 next month - still holds the record for being the youngest player to ever represent Pools when he featured against Port Vale at The Vic in August 2003 aged just 16 years and 44 days.

He made 11 starts and 27 substitute appearances last season scoring three goals, including a memorable brace as Pools knocked Championship side Scunthorpe United out of the Carling Cup at Glanford Park.
