Matty Robson has started the last two games for Pools as Manager Danny Wilson has tried out a new formation.

The pacy winger has been employed as part of a three-man front line as Pools make the most of the players available.

And, after struggling to break through into the first eleven for much of the campaign, Robson is hoping this formation proves a success and sees him hold on to his starting berth,

"Like I said recently, we want to finish this season on a high.

"It is looking unlikely that we'll make the Play Offs now but personally I would like this season to finish on a high for me.

"It was been a frustrating season in that I haven't really had a run of games but there are players around you and you have to support them when they are playing and I would like to think they'll do the same for me.

"This new formation is a different attacking option for us rather than just having the two up front.

"We get to interchange a lot and move their back four around a bit. We're an attack-minded team, I don't think Hartlepool could go out defensive minded.

"With the players available at the moment, the Gaffer has picked that formation."

And if Wilson employs the new 4-3-3 formation for Saturday's game with Millwall then Robson is hoping to cause The Lions' back four some problems,

"With the pace and movement we have up front - no one likes to be attacked with pace and when defenders are not that mobile, they don't like to be moved around too much.

"The Swansea defenders were not the most mobile and I think that helped us to dominate the first half. Second half it didn't work as much but I think the penalty decision flattened us a bit.

"At Bristol Rovers, we tried to get the ball down and play the right way on what was a very difficult pitch."

But the winger is not expecting an easy game on Saturday against a Millwall side who are battling hard to avoid the drop,

"I think they will come out fighting for their lives - it is not nice to get relegated so we know they will be scrapping for every point they can get.

"They will come and go right at us you would think and it is up to us to make sure we play our own game and be a bit ruthless.

"People have done that to us in the past, we have been there and we know it isn't nice.

"There are no friends on the pitch but afterwards we will shake hands and wish them all the best for the rest of the season - but on Saturday, there's a job to do and we want the points."
