Danny Wilson admits he is looking forward to taking his squad away to Holland for the pre season tour.
The Pools' boss is well into his plans for the new season but insists the trip to Holland plays a vital part in his preparations,
"It is perfect for us at the moment," Wilson told the Official Website.
"We'll not only get the games player but it is also a little bit of a getting-to-know-you experience for the new players."
The players will be based at the Dutch National KNVB Headquarters during their time in Holland, which proves a perfect base for their pre-season workout,
"It's a very sports-orientated environment and they get to be active in one thing or another in the days while we are going to be there.
"It is also a fitness programme that we'll be taking up for the time we're there."
And, as well as their training regime, the players have the matter of three games in three days to contend with but Wilson insists they have what it needs to cope,
"This is a testing time for us - we don't want to go there and stroll it. We are going there for a challenge, to get those fitness levels up.
"We have three quality games over there, but they will be tough games. As far as I can foresee at this time, they will be very different games.
"They will all be great tests for us and new experiences - it won't be the normal 4-4-2 or 5-3-2 that we are up against.
"The three games in three days I would like to think will not be a problem for us - we have enough in the squad we are taking over there to cover it.
"Some of them will get 30 minutes, some will get 45 and others will get an hour.
"They are not going to play so much that they are susceptible to injury but we are looking to give them some time on the pitch in all three games."
We'll bring you video action, player interviews and behind the scenes footage direct from Holland on Pools World to keep you right in the picture during the trip.
The Official Website will also carry daily diary entries from boss Danny Wilson as well as exclusive photographs of the players at their KNVB training base.
