Martin Young has become the second of the Club's young players to sign his first professional contract.

Local lad Young has been with Pools for almost ten years and has made a big impression with his hard work and enthusiasm.

He has represented the Club in the Dallas Cup on two occasions and forced his way into the Reserve Team picture last term, making 19 appearances and bagging five goals.

The 18-year-old midfielder also featured for the Youth Team, making 20 appearances and scoring twice.

Young is rated as a strong box-to-box player with good technical skill and he shows great promise for the future.
