Pools youngsters aren't just showing what they can do on the field - they're also excelling with life off the field too.

The latest results show that for the second year in succession Pools have successfully brought 100% of their apprentices through the educational framework.

Last season Pools were one of just five clubs in the country who managed to bring everyone through and they can boast a perfect record this time around too.

* Level 2 Certificate in Football Coaching

* Key Skills in Maths and English

"It's a credit to the lads that they've worked so hard on the education side of things," admitted the Club's Director of Youth Terry Mitchell.

"They've stuck in and made sure they have something to fall back on if things don't work out in football for them.

"I'm proud that we have managed to get 100% of the boys through for the second year running - it shows we must be doing things the right way at the Club.

"I know Paul Stephenson helps the lads along with the education side of things so he deserves a big thanks for his role in their success.

"And I'd also like to thank Matt Murphy has also been a big help for the lads in their studies during their time with us."

Tom Haigh and Martin Young have both penned professional deals following their graduation from the Youth Team.
