About Roots Hall

Southend have been playing their home games at Roots Hall since 1955, though they have announced plans to move in to a new 22,000 all-seater stadium at the start of the 2010/2011 season.

Away Facilities

Pools fans will be housed in the North Stand, which is all seated. The stand is covered - which makes for a good atmosphere - and can hold up to 2, 000 travelling fans.

Directions

Leave Hartlepool on the A689 and join the A19 Southbound then merge on to the A1(M). At Junction 44 keep in the left-hand lanes to keep on the A1(M) and stay on the same road until Junction 14 to go on to the A14 (signposted Huntingdon, Cambridge, Stansted). At Junction 31 take right-hand lanes and continue forward to join the M11 before joining the M25 at Junction 6 (signposted Dartford Tunnel). From there take Junction 29 and follow the A127 in to Southend before turning left on to West Street and the ground should be signposted and appear on your right-hand side.
