H'Angus the Monkey once again did the Club proud on Saturday as he finished runner-up in the Mascot Olympics in Milton Keynes.
Pools' cheeky monkey was in his usual top form at the prestigious event, which saw mascots from all around the country compete against each other while raising funds for the Spinal Injuries Association.
There was a distinct World Cup feel to the day with the different events all based on a football theme and providing plenty of entertainment for the crowd which included three Pools supporters.
The first game was 'Bin The Boot' and while H'Angus performed at high speed, he managed to get just two boots in the bin as Sky Blue Sam from Coventry City took the honours.
The Ball Dash proved rather more successful at H'Angus stormed through the heats and finished in second place in the Grand Final, just behind Oldham's Chaddy the Owl.
Cheltenham Town's Whaddney Robin was celebrating in the Penalty Shoot Out event during which H'Angus saved nine out of ten penalties but was not placed.
Red Card Drama saw Pools' mascot come in to his own as he emerged victorious against Hull City's Roary the Lion after convincingly acting injured!
H'Angus had to pull out all the stops in Round Two up against the Spinal Association's SONIC mascot - but a shirt over the head goal celebration topped off with Peter Crouch style robot dancing saw him clinch his place in the Final.

In the end, he was edged out by Horsham's Howie the Hornet but it was a fantastic effort and one which gained him many fans among the crowd!
The Unbalancer event proved just that for H'Angus who lasted just ten seconds before falling, while he couldn't keep up the pace in the Obstacle Race either.
However, he'd done enough to secure second place overall behind the winner Chaddy the Owl - and H'Angus was also honoured as the mascot who had travelled furthest!
Well done H'Angus!
