Lads Gave It Everything - Wilson
Danny Wilson was pleased with his side's attitude and determination at Walsall this afternoon after Pools fought back from two goals down to take a share of the spoils.
And, after dominating much of the second half, Wilson felt his team could well have taken all three points,
"I thought the lads gave everything this afternoon, especially in that second half when really we should have won the game given the amount of chances we had," he told Pools World.
"It wasn't really like an end-of-season game this afternoon, there were plenty of tackles going in and both sides showed that they really wanted to win the game.
"It would have been cruel if we'd have come away with nothing and the way the lads came back after an awful first fifteen minutes was a credit to them."
And the Pools boss had special praise for the travelling Poolies who got right behind the team for the full ninety minutes,
"The fans were absolutely brilliant and cheered us on the whole game - I think when we were going for that equaliser, they helped suck the ball into the net for us."
