Danny Wilson has promised changes to his team tonight following Saturday's disappointing 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth at the Fitness First Stadium.

Pools are on the road again this evening when they make the relatively short trip to Oldham Athletic and the boss says things need shaking up.

"Absolutely, there has to be changes," he commented.

"We have tried and tested things and they haven't worked for us so now it's time for the big players at the club to step up and do the business.

"Oldham will have one eye on the play-offs tonight which will act as a spur to them but our incentive has to be to move away from the wrong end of the table.

"And to put a gap between us and the bottom places we must find some points away from home which we simply haven't done in recent months.

"We played well in the home game against Oldham at a time when goals were coming and chances were in greater supply

"I think John (Sheridan) would agree they aren't firing on all cylinders at the moment but on their home turf they can match anyone and it will be a completely different kettle of fish tonight than it was at The Vic that's for sure."

Wilson welcomes Sam Collins back in to his squad after the defender completed a four-match suspension dished out following his red card at Southend United.

The recent signing could go straight back in to the starting eleven tonight after Wilson revealed his disappointing with some of the defending at the weekend.

"Things like Sam's red card have been happening to us all season," explained the Pools boss.

"It's either a yellow card, a red card or an injury and it's been frustrating because that's not allowed us to build any consistency.

"It's good to have him back and hopefully that's the end of our misfortune in those areas and we can have a good run between now and the end of the season."
