Pools were presented with their £20,000 winning cheque from Nicotinell ahead of Saturday's game with Leeds United.

Hartlepool United Community Sports Foundation were the lucky winners of a Nicotinell initiative in which supporters submitted their matchday routines, while giving their club a chance of winning a prize.

And Pools were the Club chosen at random to win the overall £20,000 prize.

Representatives from Nicotinell were at The Vic on Saturday to present the cheque to Chief Executive Russ Green and HUCSF Officer Keith Nobbs.

Nobbs spoke of his delight at receiving the award,

"This is an amazing cash prize for our community projects and especially as it has come from one of our fans.

"We will be putting it towards expanding our activities programme promoting health, education, sport and social inclusion.

"We are fully behind Nicotinell's® sponsorship of The Football League® and are working closely with them and our local Primary Care Trust to offer support for fans trying to kick the habit."
