Pupils from Springwell School were at The Vic last week to enjoy an afternoon packed full of Poolie fun.

Every pupil from Springwell, which is a special school for children with severe, moderate or profound multiple learning difficulties, came along for the afternoon with Hartlepool United Community Sports Foundation.

The pupils split into groups before going on full tours of the ground, including visits to the dressing rooms, control room and Club Shop.

And then it was back into the Victoria Lounge when the pupils were joined by Pools' players James Brown and Paul Johnson.

The pair answered many of the pupils' questions before taking time to sign autographs and have photographs taken on an afternoon that was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

"It was a really good afternoon, all the children really enjoyed their time at the Club," Jim Provett from HUCSF told hartlepoolunited.co.uk.

"It always makes these things a bit more special for the children when some of the players come along and James and Paul were made very welcome by them all."
