H'Angus Presents History Book To Town's Library

Posted on: Mon 15 Mar 2010

H'Angus the Monkey made a special visit to the town's Central Library on Thursday morning to hand over a copy of the Club's Official History Book.

The Pools mascot met up with children from Stranton and Lynnfield schools, as well as adults from the Warren Road Centre for a morning of fun.

The children gave the cheeky monkey a great reception, waving hand-made 'I Love H'Angus' badges and flags to welcome him along.

After posing for photographs with all of the children, everyone joined in for a chorus of 'Two Little Boys' before H'Angus made the big presentation and handed over the limited edition copy of The Official History of Hartlepool United.

Pools Chief Executive Russ Green said: "We're delighted to be handing over one of our limited edition hardback books to the Central Library.

"We're very proud of the publication and this is our gift to the town so who better to hand it over than H'Angus who is one of the most familiar faces in Hartlepool!"
