Pools Support Christmas Card Competition

Posted on: Tue 15 Dec 2009

Each year local MP Iain Wright runs a competition amongst all local schools to find the perfect design for the Christmas Card he will send out each year.

Once again this year, Pools were keen to support the competition, offering a Mascot Package at The Vic as one of the top prizes for the winners.

And H'Angus the mascot went along to Kingsley School last week to unveil the winning design along with Iain Wright and Joy Yates, Editor of the Hartlepool Mail.

The winning design this year was Alyssa Syres from Kingsley School and she will see her design sent out all over the country, including to the Prime Minister and the Queen.

Congratulations also go to First Runner Up Elizabeth Rose who won the Mascot Package at Pools with her special design.
