Pools still sit at 33/1 to win the League One title this season, though the odds come down to 12/1 if you want to simply back them to gain promotion.

Leeds are understandably clear favourites for the top spot at 10/3, with Leicester City just behind them at 5/1.

Relegation

The bookmakers already have it in for new boys Stockport County who are 7/4 joint favourites for the drop with Cheltenham and Walsall.

Top Scorer

The two most-fancied players in the Pools squad this term are Richard Barker who is priced at 33/1 to be League One's leading marksman, closely followed by James Brown who is out at 50/1.

The bookies can't see further than Leeds' Jermaine Beckford who is priced at 7/1, with one of his closest rivals being Leicester's former Pools striker Steve Howard (12/1).
